40 land mines recovered in Bokaro

Bokaro, Apr 1 (UNI) In a major breakthrough, police today uncovered 40 landmines weighing between two to 20 kg from Palamusarubeda forest at Uparghat area under Nawadih police station area in the district of Jharkhand.

ASP of Bermo sub-division Asim Vikrant Minj said the landmines were recovered during an anti-Naxal operation being conducted in the area.

He said the five land mines were of 20 kg each whereas other 35 were of 2 kg each.
