Varanasi par seat Kalraj's first choice

Varanasi, Mar 31: Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Kalraj Mishra said he would prefer to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha election from Varanasi Parliamentary seat, if the party leadership allowed.

''As I am associated with this city from long time, it is my first choice...I wish to do something for the people here,'' Mr Mishra said addressing media here yesterday.

But everthing depends on the party leadership, he added.

Denying any alliance with the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), the BJP leader said ''any step would be taken up after deep thinking.'' He further found BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani perfect for the Prime Minister's post.
