Two sisters drowned, bodies recovered
Barrackpore, Mar 31 (UNI) Two girls drowned in a pond at Sodepur area under Ghola police station in North 24 Parganas today.
Police said the victims, both sisters, went to take bath in the pond and drowned.
Riya Chakrabarty (11) drowned while trying to save her sister Sudakshina Chakrabarty (9), police said adding that the bodies have been recovered and sent for postmortem.
