TNGCL proposes to turn interstate buses into CNG
Agartala, Mar 31 (UNI) The Tripura Natural Gas Company Limited(TNGCL) has proposed to convert inter-state buses, including Agartala-Dhaka bus, to CNG to contain petrol consumption and environment pollution.
Managing Director of TNGCL S C Hatwal today said the company had taken the decision not to increase the rates of gas, meant for domestic purpose, commercial sector and small industries.
Mr Hatwal said if the buses were turned into CNG-propelled, the state would be benefited.
Presently, the TNGCL was selling gas for commercial and domestic purposes and also to small industries at the rate of Rs 11.50 per unit, he said adding, ''CNG has a good market that may also help the state generate revenue.'' UNI BB SJC SS1136
