Ambedkar's memorial to be turned to piligrim spot
Indore, Mar 31: A unique pilgrim spot would be developed at the birth memorial of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar at his birthplace in Mhow near Indore.
Addressing Bhikshu Sangh and devotees, Madhya Pradesh Public Works Department Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya said that the state government has sanctioned Rs 7.75 crore for this purpose.
A mahakumbh would be organised on Dr Ambedkar's birth anniversary in Mhow on April 14.
A 14 feet high statue of Baba Saheb would also be unveiled on the same day.
''About one lakh devotees, almost double than the previous year when a similar mahakumbh was organised, are expected to arrive this year. Fooding and lodging arrangements are beig made,'' he added.
