Mortality rates ''down'' in MP

Jabalpur, Mar 31 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi has claimed that better implementation of health programmes and higher institutional delivery resulted in decline in maternal and infant mortality rates.

The Minister was addressing a women's health awareness workshop at Majhouli yesterday.

Cellphones were presented to 28 female health workers, honoraria cheques were distributed to about 300 workers and national savings certificates of Rs 6,000 each presented to 30 girls under the Ladli Lakshmi Scheme.
