Man held with fake passport in TN

Tiruchirapalli, Mar 31: Police arrested a 33-year-old-man for attempting to fly to Dubai using a fake passport at the international airport here.

Police said Hyder Ali of Sambaipatti Village in Thanjavur District was to board the Sri Lankan Airlines flight to Dubai via Colombo yesterday.

When he presented his travel documents before the immigration authorities, his passport was found to be fake.

Later, he was handed over by the Airport police to local police.

Ali was remanded in judicial custody.
