Man arrested for stealing ASI's belongings
Thrissur, Kerala, Mar 31 (UNI) A 30-year-old man was arrested, within hours of stealing an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police's suitcase, containing a service pistol, bullets and Rs 8,000 in cash.
Police said Kayamkulam ASI Ashok Kumar was taking rest at the KSRTC bus stand here this morning on his way to the Ramavarmapuram Police Academy for VVIP training, when his suitcase was snatched.
The Mannuthy police arrested Sudheer (30) of Mudikode here with the help of the public, when an inebriated Sudheer came out of a bar with the pistol in one hand.
Police recovered all the stolen articles, except the cash.
