Lawyers strike paralyses judiciary services in Bihar
Patna, Mar 31 (UNI) Judiciary services came to a grinding halt in Bihar, when over 9,000 practising lawyers of Patna High Court joined the ongoing indefinite strike of the the civil court lawyers and went on a three-day strike from today.
In an emergent meeting the Patna district bar association decided to continue their strike till April 2. The future course of action would be decided in the meeting of the association to be held on April 3.
Meanwhile, the indefinite strike of the civil court lawyers in protest against the steep hike in the court fees introduced by the Bihar government entered 18th day today.
Reports pouring in here from different districts revealed about paralysing of judiciary functionings following the strike.
Meanwhile, responding to a call attention of the RJD member Shakeel Ahmad Khan in the state Asseembly, the Bihar government jsutified its decision regarding the hike in the court fee.
