Air Defence Regiment's cycle expedition flagged off

Jalandhar, Mar 31 (UNI) A cycle expedition of Air Defence Regiment was today flagged off by Adampur Air Force Station Commander Gp Capt PW Ambekar.

The expedition was organised as a part of raising day of 19 Air Defence Regiment, which was raised at Khadakvasla on April 10, 1948.

With a view rekindle these memories of over 50 years and drive motivation, the cycle rally for a period of five days led by Lt RSS Tomar and comprising of one JCO and 17 Other ranks would cover a total distance of 204 km upto Ambala in Haryana.

The team members would contact ex-servicemen in rural areas enroute enquire about their well being. Further, the team leader would address youths in the villages and motivate them to join the elite force.
