3 Police personel injured in a group clash
Bidar, Karnataka, Mar 31 (UNI) Three police personnel, including a Sub Inspector, were injured in stone pelting by two groups which had indulged in attacking each other in Anandur village in the district today.
Police sources told UNI that people belonging to two separate religious groups objecting to construction of compound wall on a disputed land, started attacking each other in which Village Panchayat President was also injured. Police who intervened and tried to pacify the clashing group were also targeted by the mob.
The situation was brought under control after police resorted to mild lathicharge.
Cases were filed against a few villagers, however, no arrests have been made so far.
