RIMS strike to affect outdoor patients

Imphal, Mar 30: Hundreds of patients at Out Patient Department of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) will be affected following a strike on March 31 and April one in protest against a threat by an underground outfit.

The RIMS staff will launch a sit-in protest in front of the emergency ward, hospital's PRO said adding that the decision was taken in a general body meeting on yesterday.

Earlier, it was decided that the RIMS would be closed down sine die, the PRO informed adding that the indefinite cease work has been deferred in view of the examination of the post graduate students and other important meetings in New Delhi.
