Constitution for Knowledge Corp: Raj Govt

Jaipur, Mar 30: The Rajasthan Government has accorded consent for Constitution of Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited, headed by former Rajasthan Chief Secretary M L Mehta.

The corporation, being constituted as a limited company under the Company Act 1956, will have a board of directors with Mr Mehta as Chairman, an official spokesman said. Principal Secretary (Finance) Rajiv Maharishi and Principal Secretary (Information Technology and Communication) C K Mathews would be the directors.

The Rajasthan Government and the Maharashtra State Knowledge Corporation, each would have 30 per cent share holding, while Rajasthan University, Jaipur, Maharana Pratap Agriculture and Technology University, Udaipur and Bhagwan Vardhman Mahavir Open University Kota would have 10 per cent share each. Center of Electronic Governance and RAJCOMP would have five per cent share each, the spokesman added.
