Rains likely in Assam, Meghalaya, Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Pune, Mar 30 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and at isolated places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and coastal Karnataka.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of south west Rajasthan. Day temperatures were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, rest Rajasthan and in some parts of Haryana. They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, north Punjab and north Madhya Pradesh, and were above normal in West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, north Gujarat, south Madhya Pradesh, north Chattisgarh and in remaining parts of Haryana. They were below normal in Arunachal Pradesh, north Telangana, Rayalaseema, interior Karnataka and in some parts of Tamil Nadu. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were below normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh. They were markedly above normal in Rajasthan and in some parts of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. They were appreciably above normal in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and in some parts of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.

They were above normal in some parts of Orissa, Saurashtra, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at many places in Assam and Meghalaya and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Vidarbha, Marathwada, north interior Karnataka, south interior Karnataka and Kerala.
