Pregnant woman dies, mob protests

Ballia, Mar 30 (UNI) Furious over the demise of a pregnant woman during treatment, a mob today vandalised the property of a private hospital here.

Manju Singh (28) of Basantpur village in Sukhpura area died at Jagriti Sudhanshu hospital last night, Police Superintendent K C Goswami said today.

Irked over the incident, the mob agitated outside the hospital.

Meanwhile, police booked hospital owner Dr Sudhakar Rai for the crime, besides launching a hunt to nab him.

The body had been sent for post-mortem.
