Majority of kapus support Chiranjeevi: Rao
Hyderabad, Mar 30 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Kapunadu President P Venkateswara Rao today said majority of the ''kapus'' in the state would support filmstar Chiranjeevi, if he floated a political party.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the kapus wanted to see their community leader Chiranjeevi, as Chief Minister.
Asked if Kapunadu would support Chiranjeevi even after the Congress government acceedes to the demand of Kapus by including them in the backward classes within six months as sought by them, Rao said the Kapunadu would take a decision after observing the party manifesto brought out by Chiranjeevi.
He said the Kapunadu would conduct meetings in all the mandals in the state after Chiranjeevi floats a party and take a decision on extending support to his party.
Stating that the Andhra Pradesh Kapunadu was a political community, he said it would support the party, which looked after the welfare of their community in the state.
