India to have space command soon: Air Chief
New Delhi, Mar 30 (UNI) Air Chief Marshal Fali Homi Major has said that India had the technology to put a space command in place soon.
''We are working towards evolving an excellent structure whereby we can exploit space,'' he told Doordarshan News in an interview.
He said setting up the space command was a long process involving a lot of agencies and funds.
However, the Chief of the Air Staff said the country was working towards it ''very very vigorously''.
''Very soon, we will see that once we have the thought processes and structures in place, we could be heading for an aerospace command... What its composition is going to be, what its tasks and goals are going to be is being formulated,'' he said in the programme 'War and Peace'.
