Fernandes asks supporters to sabotage Olympic torch in India

New Delhi, Mar 30 (UNI) Former Defence Minister George Fernandes has threatened that his supporters would do ''everything possible to sabotage'' the Olympic torch relay in India.

''I have asked all my colleagues and those who are with Tibet that they should prevent China from crossing our border with this torch. It should not be allowed to cross our borders,'' he told CNN-IBN's programme Devil's Advocate.

Asked if he had told them (his supporters) to ''sabotage'' the torch and put out the flame, Mr Fernandes said: ''Yes, whatever effort they have to make they should make that effort.'' UNI AG PK RN1325
