Federation demands ban on online trading
Tiruchirapalli, Mar 30 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Traders Federation President T Vellaiyan today urged the Central and State Government to ban online trading across the country.
Addressing a press conference here,Mr Vellaiyan pointed out that the main reason for the price hike was due to online trading.
If the Governments ban online trade, the prices of essential commodities would automatically come down,he pointed out.
He said the silver jubilee conference of the Federation would be held at Chennai on May 5, in which leaders of various political parties have been invited. About 5 lakh traders from all over Tamil Nadu would participate in the conference which would discuss the problems faced by the trade community.
The conference would decide the for launching a massive campaign against the entry of the Multinational companies into the Country's retail trade,he said and urged the Centre and the State Govenments to ban the entry of MNCs into retail trade as it was affecting the interest of domestic traders.
