Three detonators explodes in TN
Chennai, Mar 29 (UNI) Three of the ten detonators that fell from the moving train, exploded near a manned level crossing at Kerugapalli coming under Thomalpatti Police Station limits in Salem district of Tamil Nadu today.
Reports received here said the Patna-Ernakulam Express was passing through the level crossing, when the explosion occurred.
However, the train did not suffer any delay.
Police sources said the detonators might have been carried by some person travelling in the train. Seated near the entrance. The packet containing the detonators might have fellen outside from the running train, resulting in the explosion.
Officials later recovered seven more detonators from the spot and defused them.
