Tax Official, Dy Engineer held in ACB raids
Hyderabad, Mar 29 (UNI) The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today raided the houses of Senior Assistant of Commercial Tax Office in Kurnool and unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs 60 lakh.
The ACB officials arrested J Laxman Rao and seized disproportionate assets, including 44 plots, two storeyed building, one shop in Kurnool, gold worth Rs 7 lakh and household articles worth Rs one lakh.
In another raid, Deputy Engineer of Road works department G Venkata Rami Reddy was arrested in Ongole after the ACB officials raided his houses, unearthing disproportionate assets worth Rs 35 lakh.
The assets included 10 plots at Gudur, two at Macherla and household articles worth Rs 2 lakh, an official release said.
