Reliance Retail plans 250 more hypermarkets

Tirupati, Mar 29: Reliance Retail is planning to open 250 more hypermarkets in the country by 2010, Reliance Retail Limited President Raghu Pillai said today. Launching the first hypermarket in South India here, he said the company had successfully launched hypermarkets at Ahmedabad and Jamnagar in Gujarat.

He said the company operated over 500-odd stores in over 49 cities and had invested Rs 25,000 crore in retail infrastructure and supply chain. The hypermarkets would offer about 15,000 products, catering to needs of the entire family, he added.
