Prohibitory orders remain in force in MP town
Rajgarh, MP, Mar 29 (UNI) Prohibitory orders continued to remain in force on the fourth consecutive day in this district's Sarangpur tehsil headquarters where it was imposed following violence during Rangpanchami on March 26.
''Situation is under control in Sarangpur. Stabbing weapons were recovered from two places during raids carried out by police in the town yesterday. So far, 27 people have been arrested on the charge of violating prohibitory orders,'' Superintendent of Police D K Arya said.
A reward of Rs 5,000 has been announced on the arrest of Hafiz, who had opened fire targeting the police.
Violent clashes took place after stones were pelted on a procession on Rangpanchami while it was passing near a religions site.
