Nine-yr-old rescued from Indo-Nepal border; four held

New Delhi, Mar 29 (UNI) The Delhi Police today claimed to have solved the kidnapping of a nine-year-old boy following the arrest of four people from the Indo-Nepal border in Bihar.

On March 21, Akash was reported missing by his father Raj Kumar, who runs a fabrication export unit. On March 24, when the father received a call demanding Rs 7 lakh for the release of his son, police added appropriate sections in the FIR dispatched units to Indo-Nepal border in Bihar based on the number displayed on Raj Kumar's cell phone.

As part of the strategy, Kumar insisted that he be allowed to speak with his son. The kidnappers -- Pradeep Dev, Vishnu Vishwas Tapan Mandal and Balram Singh -- agreed and brought the boy to a PCO in Forbis Ganj in Arariya district of Bihar.

The police team was tipped-off from Delhi about the location of PCO, when the next call came and one of the kidnappers was caught with the boy.

The others were arrested subsequently.
