Kodagu administration ready for Assembly elections

Madikeri, Mar 29(UNI) District administration in Kodagu is geared up for the coming assembly elections for the dissolved Karnataka assembly whenever it is held.

The poll preparation work in 211 polling booths coming under Madikeri and 237 booths in Virajpet constituencies are ready. The identified voters are 90,264 men and 89,596 women in Madikeri constituency and 95,384 women and 93,541 men in Virajpet constituency have been identified.

Total voters in the district are 3,68,785.

937 electronic machines are ready for the purpose of voting.

The Deputy Commissioner K R Niranjan announce here today that the final voter list would be publishedd in all the polling booths tomorrow. If any name is left out such persons can apply through form No Six to the concerned revenue authorities immediately, the DC's said in a statement.
