IGNOU to collaborate with educational institutions
Tiruchirapalli, Mar 29 (UNI) Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), in New Delhi, would like to collaborate with other educational institutions on academic affairs in the country, University's Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Latha Pillai said today.
Addressing the 24th College-Day celebrations of Srimati Indira Gandhi College(SIGC) here, she said the University at present with 1.8 million students, is possessing a large number of regional study centres in the country with adequate educational materials and other infrastructure facilities.
The University would also take steps to extend its tie-ups with other colleges, she added.
Dr Pillai said it is futile to talk about womens liberation and economic freedom, unless we inculcate quality leadership among young women. The young students should inherit leadership quality, she added.
She called upon the women students to cultivate learning , re-learning and un-learning habits.
