Canara Bank launches nine new products
Bangalore, Mar 29 (UNI) Canara Bank today launched nine new products and facilities for the customers.
Launching the products, Bank Chairman and Managing Director M B N Rao said the bank had taken various initiatives and the new product was aimed at retail and corporate customers.
This included a call centre to provide value added services on toll free telephone, ATM cheque deposit facility, super saving salary account, internet purchases service using debit card, Multi-city cheque facility, on-line application for home loan, global Visa and Master debit cards and Canara Bank gift card.
Mr Rao outlined various initiatives and achievements taken up by the bank which included training of over 2.5 lakh people in customer relation, winning the Golden Peacock award, technology initiatives with IBM AND iFlex.
He said a tie-up with Rebecco, a management company from Europe, another tie up with HSBC to come up with life insurance product, enlisted services of Boston Consulting Group to take the bank to next-gen banking, were the other initiatives, he added.
