Bldg collapse: MCD suspends DC Shah(N), Exec Engg

New Delhi, Mar 29 (UNI) The Municipal Corporation of Delhi today suspended four of its officers, including the Deputy Commissioner of Shahdara (N) A K Singh and Executive Engineer Sanjay Mullick following the collapse of an under-construction building in the Seelampur area in East Delhi this morning, which left seven labourers dead and 14 others injured.

The MCD has also suspended Assistant Engineer B D Sharma and Junior Engineer Pradeep Kumar.

A vigilance inquiry has been ordered to look into the reasons for the building collapse.
