Women should take active part in rural developments

Mysore, Mar 28 (UNI) Women should actively participate at the all the programmes pertaining to development of rural areas, Director (basic amenities) Rural Development, Panchyat Raj, Bangalore, Dr Manjula said here today.

Addressing the two-day state level Panchyat Raj Mahila Sahsakti Abhiyana here, she urged the women should use their opportunities for the development of rural areas.

Dr Manjula also released the book, Mahila, Rajakiya Mathu and Sabalikarana on the occasion.

Earlier senior journalist M Madan Mohan who inaugurated the convention, called upon the people's representatives to concentrate on rural development. More than 500 women from the state are taking part in the convention.
