Union Bank covers all branches under CBS network

Mumbai, Mar 28 (UNI) Union Bank of India, a leading Public Sector Bank, today announced that it has covered all its branches under the Core Banking Solutions (CBS) network offering any time anywhere banking to its customers.

This was announced at an event inaugurated by Union Finance Minister Shri P Chidambaram here.

Infosys Technologies Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director S Gopalakrishnan and Union Bank of India Chairman and Managing Director M V Nair were also present.

A bank with 100 per cent CBS connectivity offers a number of advantages to the customer, a release issued here said.

The Bank is able to substantially scale up its capabilities of offering superior customer service and the customer is able to transact at any branch, irrespective of the branch where he maintains his accounts, the release added.
