Train services on new broadgauge line to commence from May: Velu
Pudukottai, Mar 28 (UNI) Train services in the newly-converted Chennai-Rameswaram broad gauge line will commence from May, Minister of State for Railways R Velu said today.
Talking to newspersons here after assessing various developmental works, he said the gauge conversion works in Karaikudi and Manamadurai section were going on in full swing.
In Madurai division alone, Rs 40 crore developmental work was going on, he said.
The existing platform of the Pudukottai railway staion would be extended to accomodate 24 coaches, the minister added.
