Small and medium grade sugar fall

Navi Mumbai, Mar 28 (UNI) Sugar prices in small and medium grade fell today amid sustained heavy selling pressure, in the wholesale sugar market, Bombay Sugar Merchants Association said.

Small and medium grade dropped by Rs 2 and Rs 5 on sustained heavy selling pressure.

However, ex-mill small and medium grades remained unchanged on scattered buying, traders added.

Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,501/1,550, Medium grade: Rs 1,530/1,625 Ex-mill Small grade: Rs 1,490/1,520 and Medium grade: Rs 1,530/1,570.
