SCR introduces eco friendly coaches

Vijayawada, Mar 28 (UNI) The South Central Railway (SCR) today inducted newly built eco friendly toilet coaches in the Pinakini Express train at a cost of Rs 1.15 crore.

Talking to newspersons after flagging off the train that runs between Vijayawada-Chennai-Vijayawada, Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager S K Sharma said the eco friendly toilet coaches would also be introduced in Ratnachal express train, running between Vijayawada-Visakahapatnam-Vijayawada.

The coaches were manufactured at Integral Coach Factory, Perambur, he added.
