Rahul pays up Rs 100 for a hot sip
Mudgal, Karnataka, Mar 28 (UNI) Young Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today paid Rs 100 for a cup of tea at a road-side eatery here today.
The Congress General Secretary was on his way to visit Raichur as part of a roadshow, when he got down for a tea-break and paid the shop owner Mr Shetty Rs 100 here.
Earlier, at historical Mudgal Fort, he was accorded a traditional welcome by Lambanis, a nomadic tribe. He took fancy for their special attire and asked why mirror pieces were stitched on to the dress.
There was also a young Nehru family fan-- a child with its mother-- who would be known in the tribe as one whom Mr Gandhi pecked a kissed.
