President Patil greets girl rescued from UP borewell
New Delhi, Mar 28 (UNI) President Pratibha Devisingh Patil today greeted little Vandana, a three-year-old girl child, on her rescue from an open borewell in Tehra-Hullait Pura village in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh.
Citing the fall of the girl into the borewell, Ms Patil has appealed to local authorities and the people to be vigilant and ensure that open pits, borewells and manholes are covered to avoid recurrence of such incidents, a Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson said in a statement.
