Narendranand Saraswati opposes Ramdev's remark

Varanasi, Mar 28 (UNI) Kashi Sumeru Peethadheeshvar Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Narendranand Saraswati has expressed his disapproval on yoga guru Swami Ramdev's remark that people, who give birth to more children should be punished.

'' The population of Hindus is decreasing day-by-day...children are God's gift and the community should not opt birth control measures, '' Mr Saraswati said today.

It was due to this mentality that people abort girl child, he added.

Recently, Swami Ramdev said people, who give birth to more children should be punished and Faizabad should be renamed as Ayodhya.

After his statement, the yoga master received a life threatening letter in Moradabad yesterday, following which his security had been increased.
