Lokayukta police arrests Surveyor for taking bribe
Bangalore, Mar 28 (UNI) Lokayukta sleuths today arrested a Divisional Surveyor of Srirangapatna town for accepting a bribe for showing an official favour.
A Lokayukta press release said that Kempegowda had demanded Rs 2000 as a bribe money from Lokesh of Mandya to hand over 'tippani' copy for his site. The official agreed to accept Rs 1,500.
Lokayukta police laid a trap and caught the officer redhanded while accepting the bribe money of Rs 1,500 from the complainant.
