LJM urges Centre to take action against infiltration

Mangalore, Mar 28 (UNI) Lok Jagaran Manch (LJM) today urged the Centre to take steps to stop infiltration from neighbouring countries.

Talking to newspersons here, LJM Spokesperson Suresh Saikia said the Centre should take steps in the right direction to seal the Indo-Bangladesh border at the earliest to stop infiltration.

Mr Saikia said the people of Assam and other neighbouring states were facing threats due to escalated infiltration from Bangladesh.

Before the situation goes out of hand, the Centre should take necessary steps, especially on identification of migrants from Bangladesh and initating actions against them.

The concerned authorities should also take steps to delete their names from the electoral-rolls, he added.
