LG ties up with major retail chains

New Delhi, Mar 28: To strengthen its retail presence in the PC business, LG Electronics, today said it has tied up with leading players like Croma, Reliance Digital, Metro Cash and Carry, Jumbo Electronics, Hypercity, Next, E zone and Aditya Birla-promoted More.

LG will sell its range of widescreen notebooks--the E200 and E300 through the Croma retail chain to start with, a comapny statement said. The company will also work towards bring out exclusive models for large retail chains, it added. It expects presence in 200 stores by year-end. ''With the sudden growth in the large format retail sector, we believe the market would be pretty big, running into hundreds of millions of dollars,'' said LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd Director (Sales and Marketing) V Ramachandran.
