Intl Workshop on Mathematical Programming begins
Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 28 (UNI) A five-day International workshop on 'Advanced Mathematical Programming Techniques for Young Teachers and Researchers' was today inaugurated by Alagappa University Former Vice Chancellor Kanniyappan.
In his inaugural address, Prof Kanniyappan stressed on the need for application of advanced mathematical programming concepts illustrating biomass problem in generating electricity.
He said investment in knowledge would enhance academic capability and further explain the latest concept of intelligent mathematical programming useful for young researchers.
Special invitee, Prof Aquil Ahmed of Kashmir University, stressed on the need for study of optimisation and mathematical models.
Prof C Subba Rami Reddy, Senior Statistics Professor, said mathematical programming paved way for different specialisations.
