Haryana assembly passes Appropriation Bill 2008
Chandigarh, Mar 28 (UNI) The Haryana Assembly today passed the Appropriation Bill-2008, authorising the state government to draw an amount of Rs 28,765.85 crore out of the Consolidated Fund of the state for the year 2008-09.
This amount will be reqired to meet the expenditure charged on the Consolidated Fund and the grants made in advance by the Legislative Assembly in respect of the estimated expenditure of the state for the next fiscal year.
The Bill moved by Finance Minister Birender Singh was passed in the House by voice vote. The Finance Minister had yesterday winded up the debate on the Budget Estimates for the next fiscal year.
