Gujarat budget session ends without any disruptions
Gandhinagar, Mar 28 (UNI) Gujarat Assembly Speaker Ashok Bhatt today said the recently-concluded budget session was historic since it was not disrupted by unruly behaviour of members.
Mr Bhatt told reporters that had been 21 working days in the session. As many as 166 out of 181 members had taken active part in the dicussions. Twenty hours were devoted to question hour in which 256 questions were discussed.
There are 70 new members in the House. The House was not adjourned for even a singly minute, which itself is a record in the recent history, Mr Bhatt said.
A total of 14 government bills were passed and one bill was withdrawn. A total of 11,182 people witnessed the Assembly procedings from the spectators gallery, he infomred.
