Excise Inspector held for accepting bribe

Kanpur, Mar 28: An Uttar Pradesh excise department Inspector was arrested red-handed while taking bribe in Kidwai Nagar area here today.

According to police, Sunil Kumar demanded Rs 5,000 as bribe from liquor contractor R P Singh.

On getting information, police laid a trap and nabbed Sunil from the spot.

Kumar has been sent to jail, police added.
