Compulsory registration of massage parlours
Panaji, Mar 28 (UNI) The Goa government is planning to introduce a law for compulsory registration of all massage parlours in this tourist state.
The issue figured in the state assembly when the health minister Mr Viswajeet Rane said the public health act was being amended to ensure that massage parlours were registered so that they could be on the scanner.
The opposition said massage parlours were turning out to be sex joints and it was for the home ministry to cleanse the sex racket in massage parlours, particularly in dense tourist beaches.
The members, including chief minister Digambar Kamat, expressed serious concern over some parlours becoming sex joints and directed the police to act tough.
