CBI files charge sheet against Sub Inspector
New Delhi, Mar 28 (UNI) The CBI today filed charge sheet against Delhi police sub inspector Vipin Kumar for allegedly accepting a bribe.
A complaint was received by the CBI that Kumar had demanded a sum of Rs two lakh from a businessman for not implicating him in a false case.
Acting on a tip-off, the CBI had conducted a raid at Paschim Vihar police station on August 8, 2007 during which Kumar was caught accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000.
Six countrymade revolvers, Rs 60,000 cash and 200 gms of charas were also recovered from Kumar's locker in the police station.
The CBI filed the chargesheet under sections of Prevention of Corruption Act and Arms Act.
