Accountant General swoons after press conference

Hyderabad, Mar 28 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Principal Accountant General P Narayana Murthy swooned minutes after a media conference here today.

Mr Narayana Murthy had called for the media conference to clarify the observation made in the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report, which was tabled in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly earlier in the day.

Mr Murthy, who went to his chambers after the conference, slumped in his seat apparently due to a stroke.

He was rushed to a corporate hospital, where his condition was being monitored, sources said.
