Car makers mull a price hike

New Delhi, Mar 27, 2008: According to industry sources, Indian Car Makers are contemplating a price hike due to the spiraling prices of the raw materials. The hike is expected to be around 2-5 % and may be applicable by June-July this year.

The industry has seen a sharp rise in key input costs of steel, alloys, crude oil, copper, aluminium, among others, due to which car makers are considering price hike as the only solution.
