Three killed, 76 injured in Bengal

Barrackpore, Mar 27 (UNI) Three people, including a woman, were killed and 76 injured in separate accidents in North 24 Paraganas today.

Police said two people,including a woman, were killed and 42 injured when a Jagulia bound bus fell into a gorge at Kamdebpur under Barasat police station in North 24 Parganas.

Police suspect that the driver lost control of the bus when he was driving at a high speed.

All the injured were rushed to the Amdanga Health Centre from where they were sent to the Barasat district hospital.

Later nine of the seriously injured were referred to the city hospital, sources added.

In another incident, a motorcyclist was killed and 34 others were injured in a bus accident on the Chakdah-Bangaon Road in the same district.
