Stampede toll rises in MP
Ashoknagar, MP, Mar 27 (UNI) With two more bodies being found today, the toll of last evening's stampede at a fair in this district's Kareela, about 20 km from here, went up to 10, unconfirmed sources said.
However, Superintendent of Police Raman Sikarwar maintained that the toll remained eight. ''With one more corpse being identified this evening, the total number of deceased identified went up to seven,'' he added.
Vidisha-resident Kishorilal (15) and Rajak Lal (40) were among the dead. Of the 16 injured, four were rushed to Gwalior for treatment.
