Retrieval Committee launches postcard campaign

Pudukkottai, Mar 27 (UNI) The Pudukkottai Lok Sabha Constituency Retrieval Committee comprising several service organisations launched a post card campaign here yesterday.

The campaign was organised by Pudukkottai District Chamber of Commerce, Senior Citizens Welfare Association, Bar association, among others for the retrieval of Pudukkottai Lok Sabha constituency, which was removed from the list of Lok Sabha constituencies during the recent delimitation excercise.

Retrieval Committee President Xavier, in a press release here today said five lakh signatures would be collected on five lakh post cards from all walks of people of this district.

The signed post cards would be sent to President Pratibha Patil, seeking her intervention for the retrieval of Pudukkottai Lok Sabha constituency, he said.
